Portable E1-IMA/ATM Network Tester
The Aurora Forte is a handheld, battery operated analyzer, capable to cover multiple transmission technologies in a single, handheld unit. Starting at DS-1/E1 (PDH), the Aurora Forte is capable to cover classical transmission technologies up to OC-12 (SONET) / STM-4 (SDH).
Furthermore, the Aurora Forte provides all the functions required by operators/installers involved in the roll-out and maintenance of fixed transmission network infrastructure for 3G/UMTS networks, combining the above mentioned transmission systems, with E1-IMA test capabilities.
The Aurora Forte offers E1-IMA testing capabilities on an interface module that provides up to 8 E1 links for testing the aggregate ATM bandwidth. The Aurora Forte is able to conduct traditional ATM measurements such as QoS, IP Ping and network utilization. In addition it measures the key IMA parameters such as available link IDs and differential delay.
The usage of the PC remote viewer software makes the Aurora Forte a reference test solution for transmission networks, providing expert assistance to field staff.
