The design and manufacture of custom microwave systems, subsystems and modules is one of our key strengths. For over 20 years we have provided custom integrated microwave solutions for both military and commercial applications. Our core technologies in microwave signal generation and filtering have enabled us to design unique integrated electronic assemblies for leading aerospace, test and measurement and communications companies. Custom Microwave Synthesizer Modules
Proven and patent pending low noise PLL architecture technology allows for
the design of high performance compact synthesizer modules operating from 2 to
40 GHz. Current technology features octave plus frequency performance and
extremely good phase noise characteristics in packages suitable to mount in a
single width PXI chassis. Our technology can also be incorporated into a wide
variety of customer specific packaging alternatives.

Custom Integrated Microwave Front Ends
Front end designs typically include multi-chip modules with discrete and MMIC
active devices using chip and wire on thin film substrates, as well as SMT
components on microwave PCB's. Integration techniques feature low parasitic
designs for passive and active microwave circuits. Designs often involve the
integration of the control, and analog-to-digital functions required for
interfacing with complex systems. Rugged military packaging is also available.
The sample unit shown to the left is a front end module that functions over a
0.5 GHz to 20 GHz range providing amplification, frequency division, path
switching, pulse modulation and AGC providing with up 70 dB of attenuation
control. All control and DC conversion functions are included within the module
on a second PCB layer (not shown).

High Speed Tunable Microwave Filters
Digitally tuned, synthesized filters for ECM and EW applications having
either band-pass or band-rejection characteristics are available. These
sub-systems offer tuning speeds < 75 ¥ìsec / GHz over wide frequency bands
with tuning accuracies approaching 1 MHz. Band-reject notches can be as narrow
as 10 MHz at the 50 db rejection BW. Our designs have been used on many military
platforms including the F-14, F-16, F-18, and B-52 aircraft. Our synthesized
tuned filters significantly improve the frequency accuracy and tuning speed when
compared with open loop designs.
